ACADEMY CRASH AT MATLOCK AND BARTLE DEPARTS FOR GRANTHAM!

Carlton enjoyed a few good days last week with the 2-0 win over AFC Mansfield in the Senior Cup Quarter Final, bringing to an end a terrible run of results at Stoke Lane and the Millers will be hoping to build on that when they face Lincoln United at Stoke Lane in the league this coming Saturday 2nd March.

They followed that up with a good day off the pitch raising over £1,000 on Sunday at a big fund raising event at The Dragon pub in Nottingham City Centre enabling invoices to be settled and urgent repairs at the Bill Stokeld Stadium.

The success of the Dragon event makes it highly likely their will be a summer repeat and possibly even a Christmas one, given the positive feedback from those attending.

The Carlton Town Academy received a reality check this afternoon however after a good run of results, going down to League leaders Matlock Town White 8-0. Matlock have won every game this season and it is easy to see why on the back of this performance.

Carlton have also lost a promising player this week with Connor Bartle (pictured) moving to Evostick Premier League side Grantham Town, the club wishes him well !

Reece Bertram has received a four game ban for his red card against Spalding.
