ANOTHER LATE GOAL, ANOTHER HOME DEFEAT FOR CARLTON!

SECOND DEFEAT IN A WEEK AFTER PROMISING RUN!

Carlton once again fell to a home defeat courtesy of a late goal, this time in the 93rd minute.

Carlton shaded the first half but fell behind to a Bill Logan goal early in the second period, before the returning Joe Brothwell equalised with a header.

With the game in the balance, Carlton conceded a free kick on the edge of their box and Joe Danby blasted the ball past Jack Steggles.

It was Carltons 5th defeat in 6 home league games this season but because of Carltons excellent away form, they remain 14th in the table.

Carlton had been in fine form of late with an outstanding 4-1 away win in the Fa Trophy at Spalding followed by a 2-0 win at Stamford and a another Fa Trophy win last weekend with one of only 2 home successes this season as they beat Bedworth United 1-0.

The home form hoodoo as returned this week however with a 2-0 defeat to Gresley in the League Cup and Saturdays 2-1 defeat to Pickering with virtually the last kick of the game!
