BACK TO THE DRAGON IN MAY AFTER BARNSTORMING SUCCESS!

Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton has promised an 80’s set to blow the audience away when the trio of Djs return to the Dragon in May for the second Carlton Town fundraiser following the huge success of the first in February, which attracted many of the Carlton faithful including manager Wayne Scott and Tim and Gaz Bee from the clubs Commitee pictured above.

“We are having to think outside the box a little bit in terms of vital fund raising for the club, but this worked for us big time” said the Chairman

“I met Aunit the landlady with Josh Hodgson in the week for a debrief and the feedback from her end was all positive and after speaking to supporters at the home game with Lincoln United, we received more good news with many saying they would come back and one or two who didn’t attend, saying they will get along next time”

“I would not imagine we will raise over 1k each time, but even half that amount would help, we now have floodlight issues which is just the latest thing to require expenditure and the pitch will need money spending on it during the summer, it really is never ending”

“It could well end up being a quarterly event and I hope Josh and Alan (pictured above in full flow) can join me again, I will let them warm up for me next time because I intend to take the music to another level, I really do”

“I did this alot in the earlier stage of my life and really enjoyed it and soon got the buzz back and anything that helps the football club makes it so worthwhile and if we can get the pub buzzing as well, everyone’s a winner”

“The focus now is to start sourcing some more great raffle prizes and Andy at the Navigation Brewery has already been in touch with some great donations, I need to build up my vinyl record collection again so I can deliver the set I am promising”

“We will hopefully announce a date for event number 2 in the next week but will be avoiding the bank holiday weekends concluded the Millers Chairman.
