CARLTON TOWN WELCOMES DEAN WYKES TO THE FAMILY!

Carlton Town are delighted to welcome Dean Wykes (pictured right) to their media team for the rest of the season after the youngster joined the club today on a university placement.

Josh Hodgson as been unable to commit to media duties lately due to extensive work commitments and a new romance, although he did put himself forward for the Dragon event last week and helped raise the club over 1k and he remains on the club committee and will continue to help where he can.

Dean is 21 years old and is from Nottingham but is based at Sheffield University so his first Matchday at Sheffield Fc next Saturday means he will be close to familiar territory and today, he met with Millers Chairman Mick Garton to discuss his role at the club over the coming weeks.

Match secretary Chris Bailey and General Secretary Trevor Wells are both looking forward to meeting Dean and working with and welcoming him to the club and he officially starts his placement in the Carlton Town office this week.

Dean will be involved in marketing for the club, writing for the Match day programme and the website and getting involved with the clubs social media and community initiatives, he will also spend time with Wally and Jamie at the ground and attend most Matchday’s.

He is keen to get involved with forthcoming fund raisers including the pool Marathon and the Day at Southwell Races to help the club and will also will be involved with Programmes for Carlton Town Tv and will be interviewing key people at the club over the coming weeks.

“Carlton Town welcomes a cracking young man to our team for the next few weeks and he assures me he is not here to make up the numbers, but to make a worthwhile contribution and I am very much looking forward to working with him” said Chairman Mick Garton.
