OUTSTANDING SIR CLIFF OVERWHELMED TO TURN ON THE LIGHTS!

“Sir Cliff as if” put in an outstanding performance at Carlton Town turning on the clubs Christmas lights and then putting on a performance to remember in front of an intimate gathering in the clubhouse.

Sir Cliff had everyone on their feet as he powered out some of his huge hits including Mistletoe and Wine, miss you nights, wired for sound and Summer Holiday to name just 4.

He then put on a superb encore at an event attended by manager Wayne Scott and goalkeeper Jack Steggles and a number of the Carlton Commitee including Chairman Mick Garton.

Gaz Bee compared the evening and helped the club raise £215 in the evenings raffle sponsored by Msr Newsgroup.

Sir Cliff said he was overjoyed, overwhelmed and honoured to be asked to turn on the lights in such a marvellous setting , he was truly on form both with his singing and more than a hint of brilliant comedy.

Many attending were streaming the event on their Facebook feeds to friends and family and asking the Chairman to ensure he was rebooked for 2019, vowing to fill the place to the rafters if the great man was to return.

It had been a memorable evening indeed and Lou’s photographs will certainly paint a happy picture as everyone was swinging with “sir Cliff as if”
