SENIOR CUP MEMORIES, MICK GARTON TALKS TO JORDAN VILUMS ON CARLTON TOWN TV.

Carlton Town Tv are in the process of talking to key figures from the clubs recent history and the first to fall under the microscope was former Mansfield Town youngster Jordan Vilums.

Villums first joined the club on loan before joining Les Mcjannet, during what was a successful period for the club and played a key part in the club retaining the Senior Cup in 2014 when they defeated Rainworth Miners Welfare 6-2 in an outstanding performance at Hucknall Town.

Vilums also played a massive part in the Semi Final win at Basford United which he talks about in the interview with Millers Chairman Mick Garton.

Carlton also had an outstanding run in the league Cup that season including beating teams in the league above them and Vilums played a massive part in that run, before Carlton finally lost to Skemersdale in a semi final they should have won.

Carlton had never won the Senior cup in their 112 year history before finally winning it under Mcjannet and Mark Clarke in the 2012/2013 season after coming runners up to Eastwood Town in 2010/2011.

Basford United won the tournament in 2015 and 2016 before Carlton again triumphed in 2017 under current manager Wayne Scott beating Basford 4-1 against the odds in a superb performance at Meadow Lane.

Carlton overcame a potential banana skin in the last round beating Newark Flowserve 2-0 in Newark in front of over 200 and now face AFC Mansfield at Stoke Lane this Wednesday 20th February in what will be another very difficult game, given Carlton’s current home form.

Admission to the ground is reduced to £6 Adults, £4 Concessions and £2 Children for the 7.45pm kick off.

Memories with Jordan Vilums is a pleasurable trip down memory lane and is on Carlton Town Tv which can be accessed from the menu department of this our new website.
