‘It is with regret I have to announce that the Monday night league will cease after the cup final on Monday 3^rd October between Brooklyn Boys and Gedz Reunited after they pipped Up & Coming for the top two places.

We have had far too many no shows in recent weeks and with one or two long term teams such as Titco and Westdale Dentists dropping out, the league has become untenable.

We will continue with the Thursday night league and indeed hope to have two or three teams joining us shortly after the league and cup season which is close to a climax.

I would personally like to thank all the teams that have been part of the Monday night league over the last few years and say you are welcome to come and join us on Thursdays.

We have two cricket matches and a schools event to facilitate during October but from Monday 31^st October the slots will become free for bookings from 7pm onwards each and every Monday.

Each five a side pitch can be booked at only £30 an hour or £60 for the whole court. If interested in booking a court or joining the Thursday league ring Mark on 07779276103.

I can confirm that match fees for Thursday nights will remain at only £25 for 40 minute games and that we secured a new sponsor for the next twelve months in snack giants KP McVities.’
