2-2 AT STOKE LANE ,”A FAIR RESULT” STEGGLES!
Carlton Town Commitee man Mark Steggles said Carlton had chances to win their encounter with Sheffield Fc , particularly in the first half, but in the end he thought Carlton should be happy with a point given they had twice come from behind.
” We made mistakes at the back against a good Sheffield side and got punished but kept going throughout and definitely deserved a point and indeed could have won it, but they will argue, so could they”
” It was good to see a referee perform with common sense and keep his cards in his pocket, there were two teams out there today trying to play the right way”
“Special praise for Tom Maddison (pictured) again for putting his penalty away brilliantly and he was a deserved Matchball Sponsors man of the match with the Supporters award believed to be going to Arron Opoku” said a happy Steggles.
Carlton are at home again this coming Wednesday when Spalding who have had an excellent start to the season themselves, losing only one of five away games to date this season visit Stoke Lane 7.45pm.
A big Thankyou to Barry and Jackie North for sponsoring this coming Wednesdays match Ball and to Morley Gas Services for sponsoring the Sheffield Fc one.
