£2,800 RAISED FOR FLORENTINA AND COMPREHENSIVE NEWS ROUNDUP FROM STOKE LANE AHEAD OF CAMBRIDGE CLASH!

The Millers are delighted to comfirm that £2,808.57 was raised at last Sunday’s Charity match for Florentina’s footsteps as per the Tweet put out by Total Reclaims.  “A massive well done to everyone involved in what is truly a fantastic effort and what was a very enjoyable afternoon” said Club Chairman Mick Garton.

New sponsors have come forward this week to sponsor players with Balearic recordings  sponsoring Sonny Shaw , Creative Kitchen by Matt Flint sponsoring Dan Flint, Times Furnishings sponsoring Kyle Seargent (pictured with Tommy Brookbanks) and Kai and Dexter sponsoring Kieran Preston. The website will be updated over the weekend. A big thankyou to all of those companies and individuals.

A new date has been announced for the Belper away game, this will now be played on Tuesday 21st September.

At the club’s AGM, there were two vacancies on the club’s board following the sad death of Brian Dennett and the emigration of club legend Ian White, these have been filled by Programme editor Josh Hodgson who is thankfully back with the club and doing a great job and Gary “Boatsy” Clarke who has been helping the club with fundraising for a considerable time and is an extremely popular member of the team at Stoke Lane.

Talking of Boatsy, he is instrumental in working with our main Charity partner World Game Changers whom he also represents and we can comfirm next years big Charity Football match will be on Sunday 22nd May, lots more will follow regarding this event and everything around it in the coming weeks and months.

This weekends clash with Cambridge City is being sponsored by Boatsy and to celebrate the first ever clash between the club’s, Josh has produced a 72 page special programme Priced at just £2.

The club is seeking Match or Matchball sponsors for the Fa Cup clash with Stratford on Saturday 4th September and the league game v Sutton Coldfield on Tuesday 7th September. Please contact Mick at mick.garton@icloud.com or telephone the club’s office on 0115 9581735.
