A BIG CARLTON TOWN WELCOME TO MITCH AND CRACKING GUESTS FOR SATURDAY

Carlton Town are delighted to welcome Mitch Bush to the Carlton Town board following Monday nights Agm at Stoke Lane.

With Mad Graham sadly stepping down this season due to personal circumstances, it created a vacancy and Mitch has already been doing a number of things behind the scenes to help the club. His social media coverage helped towards record Foodbank collections in the last 12 months and his help with bringing Bitcoin on board and masterminding the launch of the online Club shop have been significant steps into the future for the Millers.

It should also be remembered that his company  ‘Howard Mitchell’ sponsor the clubhouse bar, so a massive welcome was given to Mitch as he was unanimously voted on the clubs committee and  Carlton Town Tv look forward to catching up with Mitch in due course following his appointment.

It was a positive meeting at Stoke Lane will special praise for all the volunteers that carry out various roles at the club and in particular those who volunteered during the summer with all the painting etc and in particular Catherine who brought a new sponsor on board and attended pretty much every painting session, some effort indeed and Supporters Club Chief Alan Murphy was fulsome in his praise for Cath among others.

Catherine was not the only one mentioned and indeed there are far to many volunteers to list them all here, but thankyou everyone.

The Supporters club were given access to the club’s account in the usual way and senior board members dealt with questions raised.

The next announcement is a worth a full report itself , our very special guests for Saturday v Brighouse are none other than International Cricket umpire David Millns and his nephew, former Millers Centre Half Matt Millns, so Chairman Mick Garton has a busy interview session starting around 2.15pm.

David Millns is a former talented Cricketer who played for both Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire and is now recognised as one of the world leading umpires, this is a major coup for Carlton Town and the added bonus is his nephew Matt , was a cracking centre half who played under Les Mcjannet in that brilliant 2011 side and virtually 12 years to the day, Matt was man of the match in a 2-0 win over Ilkeston at Stoke Lane.

What a cracking couple of guests secured by Boatsy, as we start the build up to Saturdays game and if any supporters want Mick to ask David or Matt any specific questions, please contact Boatsy on 07907 064189.

Boatsy is hoping supporters get themselves early for this very special pre match double guest extravaganza this Saturday.
