A MASSIVE THANKYOU FROM CARLTON TOWN TO NFFC MUNSTER AFTER FANTASTIC GESTURE!

Carlton Town would like to massively thank the Nffc Munster branch in Ireland for their superb gesture of including Carlton Town in their annual fund raising event this year.

“Tommy and Mark and everyone connected with the club are extremely grateful for this wonderful deed” said Chairman Mick Garton

The branch heard how Carlton had been moved into the Northern Premier East League this season meaning many long journeys and coach trips to away games regularly costing around 1k.

It has put a massive strain on the club’s finances and through their friendship with Forest supporter Boatsy, who is also our commercial and Marketing Manager, they offered to help the Millers.

Boatsy representing the Millers flew over with Forest legends Colin Barrett and Garry Birtles for the event and also along with Chairman Mick Garton donated significant prizes to help with the fund raiser and indeed our Chairman will be hosting two winners from an auction in hospitality at Nottingham Forest against Brentford.

Boatsy loved the trip and the event and was grateful indeed for the fantastic gesture to help the Millers . “A big thankyou to branch Chairman Gearold Lynch and Vice Chairman Mike Hurley for this wonderful gesture, they raised over 11,000 Euros in total at Francie Shearan’s Bar and Bunkers Bar in Killorglin with the Kerry Hospice Foundation and the Irish heart foundation each receiving 4,385 Euros and Carlton Town 2,349 Euros” Boatsy told us.

The Munster boys  (pictured) and Colin Barrett presented Mick Garton with the cheque (which equates to £2,000 when converted to pound notes) at the City Ground and have vowed also get to the odd Carlton game when they can.
