ANOTHER GOOD WORK OUT AND ANOTHER HOME FRIENDLY ON SATURDAY!

Carlton Town entertained Selston in their second home friendly again with only a handful of Commitee members and volunteers in attendance once again due to the Covid 19 restrictions.

Goals from Daryl Thomas (pictured) and a fine individual strike from Mamoke Akaunu along with an own goal saw Carlton home in this latest friendly and only a late goal denied Carlton’s Academy keeper Tobias Randall from keeping a deserved clean sheet, the game finishing 3-1.

Joint managers Tommy Brookbanks and Mark Harvey, a former top goalkeeper himself are expecting the young keeper to challenge Jack Steggles for a first team starting spot next season.

Carlton were hoping for an away challenge on Saturday, but have today announced they will now be hosting Harrowby United at Stoke Lane with an earlier kick off time of 2pm.

Once again it will be a behind closed doors fixture with the paying public sadly not allowed to attend.

The club are grateful to those who have been in touch following the announcement of the Early Bird Season ticket offfer and this website understands 10 tickets have been sold so far.

There has also been a positive response to the idea put forward by the players re the third kit Sponsorship with £10 draw envelopes now being circulated and  a good early response to the player Sponsorship packages with Niall Davey and Jack Steggles covered already.
