Home of the Millers

Carlton Town may have gone down 3-0 to Basford United on Monday night, but it was clear from Mark Harvey’s after match interview on Carlton Town Tv, that the club will not be dwelling too long on the defeat to a strong and impressive Basford team in a game where Carlton gave a decent account of themselves despite the score line.

Instead it’s more positive news coming out of Stoke Lane, with the news that former Vice Chairman’s company April King Legal will once again provide Sponsorship support for the Firework Extravaganza on Friday 25th October, even though Paul stepped down last season from his position at the club.

Chairman Mick Garton was delighted that Paul had kept his promise to still help out at the club and said that without a sponsor, the Firework event could not realistically go ahead.

“We get support from local councillors, but the reality is that this event is expensive to put on and because we share proceeds with other partners and local schools who get involved, we really do need a sponsor to help us along as we do with all these kind of events, so I am delighted that Paul and April King have once again stepped up behind the club to make this work”

“We are working hard behind the scenes again to ensure a cracking evening with Fairground attractions, different food options, Real Ale and an outstanding display once again from Big Bang” comfirmed the Millers Chairman “and we will reveal more details as the event gets closer and things are firmed up”

Tickets can be purchased in advance at £15 for a family ticket admitting 2 Adults and up to 3 children, adult tickets are £6 each and kids £3.

Tickets will go on sale on or around the 1st October and be available through Msr Newsgroup stores at Radcliffe Road, West Bridgford, Front Street, Arnold and Angel Row, Nottingham City Centre.

Tickets will also be available at the ground with the bar open Monday to Friday during the evening’s throughout October.

Other options are to phone the clubs office on 0115 9581735 and pay by card or bank transfer and tickets will be posted out, or to e mail us at

Commercial Manager Brian Dennett is also available for ticket sales on 07850 234543.

Admission will also be available on the night at the slightly higher prices of £4 kids, £7 Adults and a Family £18.

The club are very much looking forward to this coming Sunday’s big fundraiser at the Dragon but after that off the pitch, attention will very much move towards the Firework Extravaganza.
