Carlton Town continued their excellent away form making it only 4 defeats from 12 games with a 1-1 draw against high flying Ossett United.
Carlton came from a goal behind courtesy of Riece Bertram (pictured in recent action) and held on again with only 9 men at the end after having two players sent off in the closing stages, Ossett also had a man dismissed after a goal mouth altercation.
Carlton will not be winning the fair play award again in January, but they are giving themselves a fighting chance of pulling clear of the drop zone with their away form.
This point was particularly pleasing given the home side had won their last four games and were boosted by a huge attendance of 428, with only a handful of vocal Carlton Supporters among them.
For the record, Tom Greaves gave Ossett the lead and Oliver Robinson and Tyler Blake were the Carlton players to see red, while Jason Burke was sent off from Ossett.
Manager Wayne Scott and the players and coaching staff were grateful indeed for the Carlton Town support and it does make a long journey home somewhat more bearable, when your club takes something from the game!
Riece Bertram made it two man of the match awards in a row after getting the equaliser and putting in another wholehearted display for the Millers.
Carlton are now 17th but in a tightly contested relegation zone , they are just a point outside the bottom two.
Carlton are away again on Tuesday night when they face a difficult County Cup fixture against Newark Flowserve who are flying in their division this season and have a number of top class players .
