BIG BOOK LAUCH INTERVIEW AND UPDATE FROM STOKE LANE !

If you were a betting man, you probably would have bet that Mansfield Town Under 23s would be playing Nottingham Forest under 23s in the final of the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup, when the Semi Final ties were drawn at Notts Tv by Boatsy and Gary Brazil in January.

Carlton beat Mansfield against all the odds , given the difficult season they are having and now Newark and Sherwood Fc have done the same, beating Forest 2-0 in front of over 1,000 people in Newark.

Although Newark and Sherwood are having an impressive season at step 5, they were still the underdogs going into this game , so massive credit to them from everyone at Carlton for reaching the final.

Debate is now rampant on social media about where the final should be held and many have suggested a trip to Hucknall Town’s new ground would be favourable if the Nottinghamshire Fa can not secure The one Call Stadium or Meadow Lane. We will have to wait and see, but one thing is for sure, Carlton are in for a tough final against an inform team and will have to be at their very best if they are to successfully defend their trophy.

Carlton will train tomorrow night (Wednesday) ahead of their trip to Sheffield and Joint Manager Tommy Brookbanks has said they will then eat together and have a social evening after a shorter training session and if any supporters want to come down and mix with the management team and squad , they are more than welcome from around 7.30pm.

Tommy and Mark are obviously looking to relax the mood ahead of a crucial run of fixtures, but one man who is not relaxed at the moment is Boatsy. he is full on ahead for the book launch this coming Sunday and after guesting on Radio Nottingham last night with co author Paul Lowe and Chairman Mick Garton , Boatsy tonight met Carlton Town’s Josh Hodgson in the Boot Room for a fantastic interview ahead of Sunday’s launch and that can be heard below.
