BLAKE DOUBLE SECURES MILLERS A POINT IN CRACKING CONTEST AT STOKE LANE.

People taking a look at the Bet Victor website tonight would have to do a double take, all other games in Division One South East postponed, Carlton v Chasetown on !

It proved to be a cracking game as well with two excellent sides both going at each other for sustained periods of the game.

Chasetown boosted by their win at Belper Town on Saturday started like a train and took a deserved lead through Liam Kirton on 22 minutes, but Carlton scored a superb equaliser before the interval when Tyler Blake (pictured) converted a superb Tyler Johal cross on the volley.

The second half followed the same patern with Chasetown gaining the upper hand after dominating the opening period and Jack Langton scored a superb goal to give the visitors a 2-1 lead.

Back came Carlton again brilliantly led by club legend Martin Ball and it was he who set up the equaliser with a fine curling shot, which was only parried back into the traffic by the excellent Chasetown keeper and although Toby Moore fluffed his finish, Tyler Blake was on hand and made no mistake.

Carlton upped the anti and turned on the style in the final 20 minutes and Ball , Blake twice and Opoku all went close to winning the game for Carlton, but defeat for Chasetown would have been harsh on them and their goalkeeper, who was the main reason Carlton didn’t snatch the winner.

Josh Hodgson was on hand for Carlton Town Tv at the final whistle and caught up with Joint Manager Tommy Brookbanks and his excellent interview will be on line soon along with the highlights of what was a cracking game of football watched by a disappointing low crowd of 94.
