BOATSY PROMOTED TO KEY POSITION AT THE CLUB AND RECOGNITION FOR JOSH TO!

It may go down as the shortest honey moon period in Carlton’s history, because Gary ‘Boatsy’ Clarke has today been promoted to the role of Commercial and Marketing manager at the club after only 5 weeks on the club’s board.

Chairman Mick Garton gave us an exclusive statement explaining the decision which this website believes will go down well with everyone involved with the club and beyond.

“The impact Boatsy has made at the club is nothing short of incredible, he has been helping the cub with fund raising and supporting functions for a considerable time, but got much more involved during lockdown and really jumped into the boat when I suggested the Charity match to him last Christmas, which ended up raising significant funds for the Charity he represents and indeed the football club after a significantly difficult time for everyone”

“Since he received a unanimous vote to come on the club’s board, he has got his teeth stuck in even more and his enthusiasm is infectious, it was recently discovered his mums dad played for the club and she to and Ron his dad have all become frequent visitors to Stoke Lane”

“We will continue to work with World Game Changers and have exciting plans with the charity for 2022 which we are working on at the moment, but the smaller projects like filling Football cards, helping get Match sponsors and Matchball Sponsors are also massively important to the club and the Mascot package he has introduced is proving particularly popular”

“Both the Vice Chairman Barry North and the President Roger Smith have spoken to me enthusiastically about Boatsy and they can see that he is helping us get things right off the pitch at a time when there is so much positivety on it and it is fair to say we have never elevated anyone up into a key role so quickly, even the brilliant Dave Hodgson didn’t get upgraded that quickly”

“The official title and role was needed given the role Gary is doing now for the club and I am delighted he has accepted the invitation to formalise his role, business cards are already being printed by our friends at Nottingham Labels”

” I hope all our supporters, players and management come together to back this appointment and give Gary their full support ‘ continued the Millers Chairman.

“At the same time, we also want to acknowledge the brilliant job Josh is doing with the Matchday Programme and with every interview he does for the club, he is to be the Senior Media correspondent at the club with immediate affect, carrying out more interviews and doing more programmes in the future for Carlton Town Tv, which will take on a more significant role for the club going forward”

” I am determined to get Josh and Gary together soon for a big interview for our Tv Station, with lots more to follow” concluded the Chairman.

We are sure both of them will be giving out their new Carlton Town business cards shortly!
