BROOKBANKS AND GORMAN HAPPY TO BE TEAMING UP AS CLUB JOINS INSTAGRAM!

Carlton Town new signing Lawrence Gorman can’t wait to get started at his new , sorry old club after meeting Tommy Brookbanks and Mark Harvey and committing to a return to  Stoke Lane  and  when we spoke to him this week, he was really upbeat and excited about his return to Stoke Lane   .

“Carlton is a club that means a lot to me, it’s local to where I was brought up and has played a big part of my football career so far. Winning the Notts Senior Cup was a great achievement at the time and I’m looking to win more with the club. Tommy and Mark have shown exactly what they can do as managers not only last season but from seasons before, so to be a part of this team makes me feel excited! I just can’t wait to get going now and really try and help the team push on again”

Tommy Brookbanks was equally as upbeat

“Great signing. Fits in with the lads we’ve already got to keep a good dressing room. Takes our defensive unit up to 6 now which is what you need to challenge. Relied heavily on Bally and Toby staying fit last season and got away with it. Also puts great competition for places which we need to have a balanced squad. It’s clear he’s very happy to be back which also factored into the signing. With keeping the whole of last year s squad were being very particular who we bring in as we think with last years and the young age of the lads they can only get better”
