CARLTON DROP INTO BOTTOM TWO AFTER ANOTHER HOME DEFEAT!

The Festive season could have been very different for Carlton Town, leading 3-2 at Mansfield on Boxing Day before going down 4-3 in stoppage time and then leading Loughborough Dynamo 2-0 with headed goals from Aaron Opoku (pictured) and Oliver Clark.

New Years Day however ended up like Boxing Day with yet another narrow defeat, 3-2 this time and with only 1 home win from 11 games this season, Carlton may well have to rely on their away form if they are to climb out of trouble.

Unless of course they can turn it around in the remaining games at Stoke Lane, but in the meantime, Saturdays trip to Pickering takes on extra significance now the Millers have dropped into the bottom two.

The most frustrating thing of all is that the table could have looked so very different, had the Millers clinched victory in those two games, in which they had led and hope soon turned to despair, the reality of that is they did not and now face a tough battle in the weeks ahead as they attempt to get back to winning ways .
