CHAIRMAN AND FRIENDS KICK OFF THE DRAGON FUND RAISING WITH A NIGHT AT NOTTINGHAM RACES!
Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton teamed up with Commitee man Greg Last, Press Officer Dean Wykes and supporter Roger Gailbraith to start the fund raising for the Dragon event next Sunday 19th May.
Nottingham Racecourse had teamed up with Castle Rock for a race event and Beer Festival and the Chairman managed to get his hands of a handful of tickets to reedem for cash in order to get the Ball rolling for the much anticipated Dragon event.
£150 was raised and those attending had a cracking evening despite heavy rain putting a damper on the early part of the event.
This website understands that the Chairman has been advised that the pitch will need £1,500 spending on it immediately to get it ready for July, so he and his fellow Dj’s have it all to do next weekend, but the £150 raised is at least a start and something they can perhaps build on next year if the event is repeated!
The Dj sets begin next Sunday 19th May at the Iconic Dragon Pub on Long Row in Nottingham City Centre from 1pm with Dan Thorpe and will continue throughout the afternoon with Chairman Mick Garton set to complete proceedings with a storming 80s set from 4pm.
