CHAIRMAN EXTENDS EARLY BIRD OFFER AFTER DOUBLE SEASON TICKET SALES AND SHILDON BEATEN IN LATEST FRIENDLY!

Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton admitted to be delighted at the response to Carlton Town’s early bird season ticket offer and exclusively revealed to us today, that the club had doubled their season ticket sales from last season.
“Look, I’m realistic to know that our sales compared to club such as Ilkeston Town will be small fry, but I’m also delighted to today announce that we have more than doubled our season ticket sales from 10 to 21 ahead of the new season”
“I am that pleased with the fans response, that I can today announce that we have decided to extend the early bird period to Saturday 3rd August, the date of our final home friendly against Clifton All Whites”
“I know there are people as yet undecided wether to get a season ticket or not and one or two are waiting for their end of month wages, but I said to Supporters Club Chief Alan Murphy that if we were to double sales on the back of this iniative, I would be minded to extend it and by my maths, that has been achieved”
“I can state categorically that there will be no further extension and this is a gesture based purely on the goodwill and great atmosphere that as engulfed the club since Tommy and Mark were appointed”
“So the reduced rate of £100 Adults, £85 Concessions and £25 kids will now apply up to and including the Clifton All Whites home friendly on Saturday 3rd August, which will now kick off at 1.30pm to allow fans who also support Nottingham Forest to do a double header and attend both games as Forest V West Brom kicks off at 5.30pm” concluded the Millers Chief.
For the record, Carlton were excellent again in their latest friendly coming from a goal down against the impressive Shildon AFC from Durham to win 3-1 with goals from Tyler Johal, Danny Elliot and Arron Opoku.
The Shildon fans traveled in decent numbers for the friendly and a gate of 78 was recorded at Stoke Lane.
This website understands that a major announcement is coming up with Bonus Ball being rested this season and a new Tote competition being launched from the first game of the season, the proposal seen by this website should make for an exciting weekly draw which all at the club can get involved with.
Further details will follow soon and the Kit Support scheme is also only days away from being launched.
Finally Carlton Town Tv were at the ground today and it was that man Gaz Bee in the interview chair and we are told interviews will be released over the weekend with man of the Match Danny Elliot and coaches Paul Rockley and Martin Ball, who were in charge with Tommy and Mark away at Nat Watson’s wedding.
The club would like to thank Dan Moore for bringing his side down and pay tribute to the outstanding Shildon supporters, who were brilliant throughout.
Carlton are next in action on Tuesday when they visit Gedling Miners Welfare 7.45pm.
