CHAIRMAN OVERWHELMED BY CHRISTMAS DAY PRESENT !

Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton has put out a Christmas Day statement following the amazing Christmas present he was sent from you all and brilliantly put together by Lou Lardi.

“When I received a package from Lou through the post the other day, I said to Estelle, that will no doubt be a collection of Lou’s excellent photographs, but I was inquisitive none the less and decided to leave it till the very end of opening my Christmas Day gifts from family and friends”

“What I saw when I opened it will live with me forever, kind words from so many of you including all three managers I have worked with during the last 20 years, current and ex players, Commitee colleagues, best friends, plus the other special friends who have done so much to help us at Carlton , the likes of Vernon Coaker, Nicki Brookes and Colin Wilde”

“When all this nonsense is over, we will have a celebration at the Clubhouse, probably on a Sunday afternoon and no I will not charge anybody to come in before any of you contribute a Whitty comment, there was plenty of those in the tribute as well, I will book a comedian and we will have some Guest DJs Dragon style and have a cracking afternoon”

“I am very proud of the prize of Gedling award and it needs celebrating, I realise none of what has been achieved could not have been done so without the support of my family, the managers who have all brought silverware to the club along with some fantastic players, volunteers, supporters and kind friends and I thankyou all from the bottom of my heart”

’Would be nice to get Eamon Dumphy back at some time in the future and Tommy, I had forgotten the wasp in the snow sting and the lump that followed’

“This tribute album has made it a very special Christmas Day in what has been the most challenging year in my 57 years passing through and I truly hope the government can get this vaccine rolled out at pace in the new year and that we can get back to some sort of normality and once again be challenging for promotion”

“A very merry Christmas to you all, keep safe and fingers crossed for a better 2021 🎅🏼🎅🏼🌲🌲🤞🤞”
