CHAIRMAN TO SPONSOR GLOSSOP GAME AND IS ENCOURAGED BY IMPUT FROM SUPPORTERS AT CHASETOWN CLASH.

Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton has comfirmed his company Msr Newsgroup will sponsor the forthcoming clash v Glossop North End on Saturday 14th March at Stoke Lane.

Garton also told us he had received a positive response to the plea for sponsors and fund raising ideas, with a number of people coming forward during a thoroughly enjoyable nights football at Stoke Lane.

“We have a small fan base and Sponsorship base but a very loyal one and I was grateful for the number of ideas that were thrown at me on Tuesday against Chasetown with Barry, Roger Smith and John Hartstone among those throwing some excellent ideas into the mix”

“Going forward, wether we achieve promotion this season or at some point in the future, we have to have a plan in terms of raising money for ground improvements, ensuring our best players are committed to us, looking for new talent within our budget and raising money in different ways”

“Dave Hodgson has been working hard behind the scenes with myself on looking at pushing funding options and many meetings and important conversations have taken place, but it is a marathon rather than a sprint”

“Phil formerly from the Monkey Tree, West Bridgford and his friend Tom have committed to sponsoring the big Cleethorpes clash on March 28th and Dj taxis came forward last night and said they will sponsor a Match ball which is much appreciated ”

“We also now have a big Nottinghamshire Senior cup semi Final against Newark Flowserve if anybody wants to put their hands up for that one, it will be a tough game indeed and we look forward to hosting it” continued the Chairman.

“Finally I would ask for support for the John O’ Hare night on Friday 20th March, we have brought this event forward in our fund raising calendar due to cash flow challenges and we still have a few tickets left at £40 each to include a two course meal”
