CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON RETURNS WITH CHARLIE McPARLAND OUR VERY SPECIAL GUEST !
Carlton Town are delighted announce the return of the Christmas Luncheon , one of their most important fund raising events of the season and a truly fantastic event.
The club have held a Christmas Luncheon every year for the last 20 years apart from in 2020 due to the pandemic, with some fantastic guests including the late Jack Charlton, World Cup Refereee Howard Webb and also sadly the late Graham Taylor who of course was a former England manager among those gracing the Clubhouse.
Former Liverpool greats Bruce Grobalar and Jan Molby and former Nottingham Forest Heroes Kenny Burns and Mark Crossley were among other great guests and we have had Greg Abbott and Don Masson along with Brian Stubbs and Les Bradd from the other side of the city, some great players and great characters indeed.
This years very special guest is connected to both major clubs in the city, he was a prolific striker at Notts county scoring 69 goals in 221 games, before managing the side from 2007 to 2009. He also worked at Nottingham Forest spending time with the club when both Paul Hart and Billy Davies managed the club, he also had a brief spell as caretaker manager and it will be fascinating indeed to hear the stories of Charlie McParland.
Charlie was recently at the Bill Stokeld Stadium supporting the big Charity event and in fact managed The World Game Changers side.
This years event is on Friday 26th November from 1pm and will be hosted by friend of the club Andy Hallam who has kindly secured the services of Charlie for The Millers, tickets are £40 each to include a two course Christmas Lunch, tables of 6 or 10 can also be booked.
