CLUB HOPING FOR DECENT TURNOUT FOR CLUB LEGEND BRIAN ON SATURDAY!

Carlton Town and Brian Dennett’s family are looking forward to this coming Saturday’s very special event to Mark Brian’s fantastic contribution to the football club, not to mention his love over many years for not only the Millers, but for local football in general and as such, the welcome to come and pay respects is open to everyone who wishes to attend and do so.

The bar at The Bill Stokeld Stadium (Stoke Lane, Gedling) will be open on Saturday at 12pm with the event starting at 3pm and it will give several people the chance to speak about Brian.

Carlton Town Vice Chairman Barry North, President Roger Smith, legendary player and first team coach Daryl Thomas and Local Councillor and friend of the club, Paul Wilkinson will all be speaking. There will be representation from the Carlton Town Supporters club as well and Brian’s son Alex Dennett who is also expected to say a few words before The Academy Suite is officially renamed and unveiled in his honour.

Club Photographer Lou Lardi will be on hand to capture some special moments and the club are laying on some food for all attending.

After the official renaming of the Academy Suite, guest will be able to mingle in line with Covid 19 regulations on tables of six inside and more outside where the Marquee remains in place and they can share their own stories about a fantastic and lovely character.

The club are hoping for a decent turnout for a very special man who is already being sorely missed!
