CLUB SAD TO ANNOUNCE THE POSTPONEMENT OF ANOTHER EVENT!

The club notes the excitement of the Supporters on social media ahead of the scheduled Vinyl night on Saturday, but after talks with the supporters club this evening, with the current restrictions in place in terms of supporters sitting together, the club and supporters club have jointly decided to postpone the event until the current high Covid restrictions are lifted.

With cases rising locally, the general feeling is that Nottingham is more likely to go into the very high Covid restrictions rather than be downgraded and with numbers restricted in the bar, it is not feesable to go ahead.

Every event since March has been cancelled making for a utterly miserable social scene, but the club are left with little choice given the current situation.

The Sky sports offerings, happy hour and guests from the junior section are all still planned and details will follow in the coming days.

The club were obviously disappointed to exit the Fa Trophy on Saturday but this website understands Tommy and Mark are focusing on the positives and are hopeful the injury crisis will improve significantly in the coming weeks.

Tommy spoke to us earlier and told us a little bit about new striker Jack Gibson, revealing he had been recommended by old adversary Simon Clifford.

Brookbanks and former Garforth Supremo Clifford had some monumental battles in the early part of this decade, but respect was earned on both sides and Tommy appreciated the recommendation.

“Jack was at Chester Fc, he has trained with Southport, he is 6ft 3 and comes to Carlton with an excellent recommendation from Simon Clifford following his move to Nottingham University”

“He looks really promising and myself and Mark are looking forward to working with him” said Brookbanks.

In other news , there has been a pretty underwhelming win on the Tote with a catch up of Millers admin revealing Estelle Garton has cliched a prize of £140 with numbers 4 and 14 coming out first on October 3rd.

Estelle told us “I have been doing my bit to support Mick and the club over many years and it is nice to finally win something, stay safe everybody and I look forward to seeing you all at a function sometime in the not to distant future , I’m scheduled for Cliff Richard, but unless we can do it outside, I am not very hopeful, fingers crossed however, we all need some kind of Festive good fortune and a pick me up”

With two more draws since Estelle’s win, the club will update this website in the coming days and would appreciate supporters bringing payments up to date v Leek on Saturday.
