COLLECTION FOR RATH AND GET WELL SOON LOU!

The club and supporters club have tonight agreed a bucket collection for goalkeeper Mark Rathbone following his nasty injury on Saturday, which will keep him out for the rest of the season.

The club were already looking at the possibility of claiming for Rath on the club’s insurance policy we understand and secretary Trevor Wells is speaking to relevant people to see if that is a possibility.

Chairman Mick Garton and Commercial manager Gary Boatsy Clarke caught up with supporters chief Alan Murphy to follow up a suggestion from Jon Hartstone and Lou Lardi that a bucket collection on Saturday at the Yaxley game would be a nice touch.

No one at this stage knows where Rath stands with his work, but this website understands that the club and supporters are united in trying to do what they can through a possible insurance claim and the collection following last Saturday’s injury which saw the keeper end up in hospital.

Also the thoughts of the club are with supporter Lou who is poorly in hospital with a severe chest infection, fluid in the lung and a blood clot. She has had over 2 litres drained so was very lucky partner Rhys posted today. She is in good spirits and hopefully on the mend Rhys said.

“Rhys and Lou have become a major part of the team at Carlton Town this season, helping with the Charity event , the Miller Mouse and raffles and number cards etc and attending games both home and away and are both extremely popular, we all wish Lou a speedy recovery and send our love” said Chairman Mick Garton and Boatsy in a joint statement from the ground this evening as the news of Lou’s condition broke.
