CONSETT NEXT UP IN BATTLE TO AVOID THE DREADED DROP !

Following Carlton’s postponement at Pontefract Collieries on Saturday, The Millers will aim once again to address their poor home form when Consett visit Stoke Lane next Saturday 8th April.

The bottom of the league is set up for a dramatic last few weeks with Carlton’s amazing four game away winning run, giving them a decent chance of staying up and the improved results of both Shildon and Grantham Town as well bringing other clubs who looked safe into the mix.

Tadcaster are relegated in 20th place and Grantham are currently 19th with 32 points from 33 games while Carlton are 18th with 35 points from 33 games , but with a much inferior goal difference. Shildon are a point above the Milers with 36 pints from 33 games with the same goal difference as The Millers.

Above that are Brighouse with 36 points from only 32 games and Lincoln United with 38 points from 34 games and Sheffield with 38 points from only 32 games.

A dramatic final month is here and now, with all to play for and the build up to the big Easter weekend is upon us.

Tommy Brookbanks (pictured) was a lot happier with last Saturday’s home performance despite the 2-0 defeat to second placed Stockton Town, who he believes could well win the playoffs, he and Mark will obviously be hoping they can return to winning ways at Stoke Lane next Saturday,

Kick off is at 3pm and admission is £9 Adults, £7 Consessions, £5 Emergency workers and Students and £2 under 16s.
