DARREN GEE STEPS UP TO THE PLATE AND SAM DINGLE TO PLAY !

The Charity match is on us and former Notts County Assistant Manager and Title winning Tamworth Manager Darren Gee is stepping up to the plate on Sunday after World Game Changers Manager Charlie McParland was told he had to work this Sunday.

Gee received a phone call from Carlton Chairman Mick Garton and kindly agreed to step up to the plate at the last minute and everyone involved with The Millers and World Game Changers is grateful indeed.

Gee has just left Corby Town where he was assistant to former Forest Legend Gary Mills, Carlton played Corby twice last season, winning the home game, but losing at Corby.

In other news, Emmerdale star Sam Dingle (pictured) played by actor James Hooton has passed a late fitness test and plays in the game along with the likes of Former Nottingham Forest stars Paul McKenna and Jason Lee, former Republic of Ireland international Jemma Connor-Lommi,  Radio Nottingham Presenter Arun Verma and former Motherwell star Mark Slythe.

Former Carlton legends Phil Bignall, Grant Brindley and Dominic Thomas join the all star line up to take on a Carlton Town X1 and we understand several potential new signings are being looked at during what is the last game on the pitch this season.

The very Special Guest is WBA Champion of the World Leigh Wood and there is music from top local Dj Sanj Beri.

The game is being filmed and broadcast live in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar by Grassroot Tv and Sky Sports will also be on to follow the last day of Premier League action with some massive games set to determine who wins the league and who gets relegated.

With Food and drink options as well and the weather looking good, It promises to be a cracking afternoon.

kick off is at 2.30pm with admission by Donating on the gate, there is also a raffle and on line auction.https://chetnet.ltd.uk/carlton/
