October 28, 2021

DATE ANNOUNCED FOR GEDLING CLASH AND IT’S ALL SYSTEMS GO AT STOKE LANE.

Carlton Town secretary Trevor Wells can this evening comfirm that the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup clash with Gedling Miners Welfare will be on Tuesday 30th November at Stoke Lane.

Millers Chairman Mick Garton and Commercial Manager Boatsy were joined by Mad Gav at Stoke Lane on Thursday evening to help prepare the stadium for a massive weekend, with the Firework Extravaganza on Friday, followed by the Fa Trophy clash with Kidsgrove on Saturday.

Three of the four extra real ales from Charnwood Brewery which will be on tap at only £3.60 a pint are award winning Ales the club comfirmed this evening and they are now in place with 144 pints to be sold hopefully over the two days and the usual favourites from our friends at Castle Rock and Marstons are also available in the main bar.

The Real Ale on tap will be in the Brian Dennett suite has announced earlier with chocolate offerings from Msr Newsgroup also in the Suite, there will also be cans of larger and cider available in there along with coke, 7up and crisps to take the pressure off the main bar, with ticket sales indicating a decent turnout.

Dj Sanj Beri will be appearing live in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar and QPR v Forest will be shown in both indoor bars.

The Chairman spoke to us from Stoke Lane and told us “A lot of work has gone into preparing for this big weekend and I would like to thank the sponsors of the Real Ales , the local councillors who have got behind the Firework event and in particular Boatsy and Mad Gav for all their fantastic efforts to get the stadium ready for the rides and the stalls”

“On top of that we have got Dave Perrin, Ron Clarke and Councillor Paul Wilkinson filling up the sponsorship packages for Saturday, thankyou so much to you all”

“It was great to see the Junior section down here tonight selling tickets and I would also like to thank Mapperley All Stars for their support for the event and those people that have bid for prizes on the auction or bought tickets for the super draw, we wil obviously have one last push of these at the Firework Extravaganza as I have mainly been selling these myself on behalf of the club over the summer”

“There is one more day to bid on the fantastic prizes available for what is our first big fundraiser exclusively for the club since lockdown and I am delighted to comfirm Carlton Town Tv are covering the event and we will hopefully secure our first big interview with Boatsy since his appointment to the board” concluded the Millers Chairman.
