DEJA VU FOR THE MILLERS, BUT FOR DIFFERENT REASONS 12 MONTHS ON

One more league home game and one big night indeed for the Millers as Dunston visit Stoke Lane on Tuesday night 12 months on from a memorable afternoon when Carlton avoided the drop by beating Dunston at Stoke Lane on the final day of the season.

Roll forward 12 months and the Millers are looking for a win to secure a playoff place, but a point could be enough, depending on the result at Pontefract where Belper Town will battle to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Carlton will certainly go into the game looking for a win, make no mistake about that and will be hoping for another decent gate in what is their final home league of the season.

As we start the build up to Tuesday nights game, take a look at Carlton Town Gold who today take you back 12 months to that memorable afternoon when we beat Dunston 2-0 last season to retain our step 4 status.

The excitement is already building ahead of what could prove a pivotal clash as Carlton attempt to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2012 when they lost to Leek on penalties after a 2-2 draw at Stoke Lane.

Carlton Town’s deputy Commercial manager Gaz Bee ran a 50/50 draw instead of the usual raffle and number card at Saturday’s game v Consett and raised £200 for the club at the game and supporter Taz who is heading up the Ukrainian Charity event on Sunday 5th May also left the ground with £200 winnings, congratulations to a top man.
