DOUBLE BOOST FROM DENNETT AND STOVELL FOR MILLERS!

Carlton Town received another boost both on and off the pitch today and the positive news just keeps on coming following the appointments of Tommy Brookbanks and Mark Harvey.
The millers play Hucknall Town on Saturday 13th July and straight after the game, there is a race event in the Clubhouse.
Commercial Magager Brian Dennett has been working to get the 10 scheduled races supported and today he completed that task, so a big thankyou to the following who have all donated £25 to support a race.
RACE ONE – DAVE HODGSON
RACE TWO – DAVE PERRIN (TIMES FURNISHING)
RACE THREE – MARK STEGGLES
RACE FOUR – GREG LAST (ASAP)
RACE FIVE – PAUL KING (APRIL KING)
RACE SIX – TOMMY BROOKBANKS
RACE SEVEN – A&R SIGNS
RACE EIGHT – MICK GREENWOOD (GREENWOOD COOLING)
RACE NINE – MORLEY GAS SERVICES
RACE TEN – BLU BANANA GRAPHICS
On the playing side, Kyle Stovell has today told this website that he will now be staying with the club after letting it be known to supporters at the end of last season that he would be moving on after failing to sufficiently impress the then manager Wayne Scott and despite the clubs struggles, he failed to hold down a regular place.
Stovell however does have people at Stoke Lane that believe he has the potential to go on and have a successful career at this level, the jury on that one is still probably very much out, but one thing we have been told today is that Stovell is very much up for giving it a go under Tommy Brookbanks and Mark Harvey and Brookbanks is known to believe that the youngster has every chance of making the grade, if he works hard and is given every encouragement, which the new management team have told us they will give him.
Like Jack Steggles, the youngster and former Carlton Academy star has told us, he has had a change of heart after meeting Tommy Brookbanks at the Bill Stokeld Stadium.
With Ben Hutchinson moving on, Stovell will be hoping to be given the opportunity to show the new management duo what he can do.
“I was extremely impressed with what Tommy had to say and I am keen to show him what I can do, he told me he had watched me in the past and had been impressed and said I will be given every opportunity during pre season to stake a claim”
“I just want to be given that opportunity to show what I can offer and hopefully I can ensure I am in Tommy and Mark’s plans, the idea to get players involved with cub events is also a great one and something I believe will bring everyone together”
“It is an extremely exciting time and I and buzzing ahead of pre season training and really looking forward to working with the new management and coaching staff” said the promising Carlton Town youngster and in a further boost, Lou Lardi has already come forward and put himself in the box to support Kyle as part of the 2019/2020 kit support scheme which has not yet been launched for the new season.
