EUROPEAN CUP HEROES SET TO KICK OFF THE BIG CHARITY GAME AS NEW AUCTION PRIZES TAKE TOTAL BIDS CLOSE TO 4K

The two Nottingham Forest legends who kick started Nottingham Forests remarkable European cup run which saw them win the tournament in 1979 and 1980 are to kick off the big Charity match at Stoke Lane on Sunday 30th May in support of  ‘World Game Changers’ and Carlton Town Fc Grassroots Football.

Garry Birtles and Colin Barrett who scored the vital goals when Forest kicked off their campaign on Wednesday 13th September 1978 against Liverpool at the City Ground with a 2-0 win are two of the very special guests for the charity day put together brilliantly by Gary ‘Boatsy’ Clarke.

We can also today reveal that Boatsy has now received bids above the reserve price for all 3 Nottingham Forest corporate box prizes for two people donated last week by Msr Newsgroup taking the overall bids on auction items to over £3,800.

The countdown as begun to the match and fun day with several of the stars appearing posting videos promoting the day and much work will go into the coming days to ensure hopefully a fantastic afternoon for all attending.

The gates open at 1pm with admission by a donation on the gate and Dj Sanj Beri set to start with his first set straight away ahead of the game at 3pm.

There is also an amazing collection of raffle prizes with tickets on sale throughout the afternoon at £5 a strip or 3 strips for £10 with the draw taking place soon after the game , probably around 5.30pm before more music from the outstanding Nottinghamshire Dj who has played Pasha and Gatecrasher and will next Sunday thrill the Bill Stokeld stadium.

There is still time to bid on some of the excellent items which have been donated, see below
