EXCELLENT START CONTINUES WITH ANOTHER WIN IN THE FA CUP

Carlton Town continue to put last year’s poor home form behind them with their third home win on the bounce at Stoke Lane in beautiful summer sunshine.

The afternoon started with local Police Inspector Andy Wilson being introduced to the Carlton Town faithful ahead of a massive Charity event being staged at Stoke Lane next Sunday.

Andy was the VIP guest and went down a treat as he talked about his role in the police, his love and involvement in football and the tragic loss of his daughter at just 15 years old this June. The Charity match being organised by former Nottingham Forest star Paul Mcgregor will be in memory of Isabelle and to raise money for the Rainbow Hospice who were brilliant for Isabelle in her final days .

The atmosphere inside and outside the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar was buzzing after the Millers unbeaten start to the campaign, with the hope the boys could take Carlton into Monday’s draw for the next round.

Casually Dan was on brilliant form on the decks and Joe’s excellent Matchday Programme sold out just before kick off at the Bill Stokeld Stadium.

On the pitch, it was time to continue where the Millers had left off on Tuesday night and that they did, with a comfortable in the end 3-0 win. Romella Nangle gave Carlton an early lead which they went into the break with, but it wasn’t until the 82nd minute that former Notts County Youngster Musa Ndaw Jawarra made in 2-0 to the Millers when put through on goal before making it a brace in the final minute after beating the offside trap to make it 3-0.

The Millers then are into the First round Qualifying and eagerly await Monday’s draw for a tie that will take place on Saturday 2nd September, meaning the home fixture with Stockton will have to be rescheduled.

The £500 Super Football Card winner was also revealed with that prize going to Tom Hughes, who heads up Aerocom who are of course the new sponsors of Carlton Town Tv.

Carlton Town Tv was in the thick of things as Alan Murphy hosted the inaugural 200 Club draw and John Bryson caught up with Dean Freeman and mark Harvey after the 3-0 win.
