FA CUP DRAW ON SATURDAY AND LOTS OF MONEY RAISED FOR FLORENTINA ON SUNDAY !

Carlton Town drew 1-1 with Maltby Main in the Fa Cup on Saturday, with the replay taking place at Stoke Lane this coming Tuesday. Tyler Blake scored the Millers goal, but both teams hit the woodwork on a number of occasions and Carlton also missed a penalty.

Sunday was also a tale of penalties with a young Carlton Town X1 managed by Paul Rockley taking on Total Reclaims at Stoke Lane to raise money for Florentina (pictured)

Total Reclaims came out on top 3-2 with 3 penalties all scored and the Millers also scored the penalty they were awarded in an entertaining game.

The main point of Sunday however was fund raising for beautiful young Florentina who tragically at 4 years old has cancer and with an attendance of around 200 , it was definitely a successful afternoon.

Carlton Chairman Mick Garton, Vice Chairman Barry North and from the management side, Tommy Brookbanks and Martin Ball all attended with their families.

With Commitee members also attending and Tim Bee among the Match officials who had kindly given up their afternoon, it was a great Carlton Town family effort to support this wonderful cause. The supporters club had already agreed to the remaining £125 Tote pot going to the charity and the players and supporters on the Maltby Main coach had a whip round and raised close on £100. Donations from stewards and Quentin from Carlton Town Tv brought in another £100 before prizes donated by Chairman Mick Garton and Boatsy realised another £350 in a mini auction.

A massive congratulations to Alison from Total Reclaims who coordinated the event and to our coach Dan Goddard who was the brains behind the afternoon.

We will update everyone when Alison reports back to us and highlights and interviews will appear on Carlton Town Tv in the next few days.

Carlton meanwhile are back in action this Tuesday 24th August at Stoke Lane at 7.45pm in the Fa Cup replay, admission is £9 Adults, £7 Concessions and £3 kids.
