FOREST MUNSTER BRANCH TO SUPPORT MILLERS TRAVEL APPEAL!

Carlton Town have received a fantastic travel boost from the Irish branch of the Nottingham Forest Supporters Club.

Carlton have been moved into the Northern League this season and face a massive increase in travel costs for away games and The Munster branch of the Nottingham Forest supporters club are having their annual fund raiser on Saturday 24th September.

The supporters club are raising money for the Irish Heart Foundation, but also tag in one or two other good causes for their big fund raiser and through their connection with Boatsy, Carlton will this year benefit from 20 per cent of money raised as one of the chosen partners.

Carlton Town Chairman and Msr Managing Director Mick Garton has already pledged a significant prize towards the event and Boatsy will be doing the same.

Boatsy has told us, some of the Irish lads are looking forward to taking in a Carlton game and hopefully tying in with a Forest Sunday fixture at the City Ground during the season.

If anyone else connected with the Millers can donate anything for the auction or raffle , it would be gratefully received by Boatsy pictured with Dean Windass at last weeks fund raiser who is personally representing the club and flying out to the Republic for the event.

Nottingham Forest Legends Colin Barrett who is Carlton’s very special guest on Saturday and Garry Birtles are also attending the event in September.

The substantial extra travel costs are being dealt with in a number of ways by the club and this new inative could provide significant and vital help as the Millers move into the new league and hopefully continue to fly the flag for East Midlands Grass Roots Football.

The Millers are extremely grateful for this fantastic support and Carlton Supporters can  donate to the fund via the link below.
