FRIENDLY AGREED WITH HUCKNALL WITH SEASON SUSPENDED!

Carlton Town have this evening retweed the results of the vote on wether to continue to play games without supporters under the new tier system.

The Northern Premier League had only 4 teams across their 3 divisions wanting to continue under the current circumstances and while the numbers varied in each of the other two leagues at this level, the numbers overall were in favour of a further hold on fixtures and that resolution is what has now been passed by the league management committees of all the leagues at this level.

Today Friday 4th December should have been the latest Christmas Luncheon, but the only people spotted at the ground were the Chairman and Secretary Trevor Wells, both on club business.

The Club have organised a friendly on Wednesday 9th December to get the players up and running again and Hucknall Town are the visitors with a 7.45pm kick off.

Only Committee members and Club officials will be able to attend the game due to current Tier 3 restrictions.

The club have no idea at this stage if and when the fixtures will resume, but will keep Supporters right up to date in the coming weeks on this website and via our social media outlets.

The Final fund raising event of the year or should we say pretty much the only one is the Christmas raffle and following talks with the supporters club, this will now be an online offering through the Msr App.

Books of tickets are normally sold at £20 a book, but this year an online ticket will be priced at £10 or 3 tickets for £20.

The Chairman and Brian Dennett are working hard securing prizes and with the help of the Supporters Club , they are hopeful the fans and friends of the club will get behind the annual draw, all be it in a totally new way.

The club have ground rent to pay on the 1st January and are expecting a substantial Water Rates bill  and have had no income whatsoever over the last 4 weeks.

Money from grants received has been and is being spent in lines with the legal documentation signed by Mick Garton and Dave Hodgson on the club’s infrastructure and debts caused by Covid.

The Christmas raffle is vital to the club and full details will be revealed in the coming days!
