FRUSTATION FOR MILLERS AT STOKE LANE, ALL THE FALL OUT FROM CHRISTMAS TUESDAY !

Carlton were hoping to build on Saturday’s excellent 2-0 win at Sheffield Fc and the atmosphere at the ground and in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar pre match was buzzing, but it’s fair to say it didn’t exactly go to plan.

The early sending off for Shea Thompson-Harris proved pivotal and while the Millers have no argument with the decision for retaliation, there was a general feeling at the ground that the number of yellow cards shown during the game on a very heavy pitch was harsh indeed, in what was not a dirty game, but will leave both clubs with more money to find in the way of the inevitable fine that will follow.

The Millers were down to ten men for the majority of the match and matched their opponents up until the first goal went in, although they were grateful for a couple of fine first half saves from Felix.

The Millers started the second half well, but eventually the man down took its toll and Newton Aycliffe eventually ran out 3-0 winners.

Shea will hopefully learn from this, the Millers are having a decent season, but recent sending offs are doing the team no favours and hampering their progress, which has on the whole been brilliant so far this season.

In the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar, Christmas was well and truly afoot with Alan playing a superb Christmas set, a superb collection for the Christmas Food bank, Ian Storey-Moore our Vip guest and the Christmas draw taking place alongside the £500 Football Super Card being scratched off and don’t forget the superb mince pies and jam tarts from the brilliant John and Jayne Bryson.
