GARTON AND HITCHCOCK SET TO TEAM UP FOR DRAGON CHRISTMAS SET!

Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton will team up with soul and Motown Dj Gary Hitchcock for the final Dg set of the year at the Dragon.

Main sponsors Msr Newsgroup will be inviting customers along as they showcase their Christmas range and those attending will have the chance to buy tickets for the Annual Christmas draw, so it will be another vital fundraiser for the Millers.

Garton has already secured some cracking prizes including fantastic hospitality for two at Trent Bridge for a  game in 2020 which will include a two course meal and drinks.

Two places in Msr Newsgroup’s Nottingham Forest box for a game in 2020 has also been donated for the draw and Christmas Luncheon sponsors Castle Rock, have also donated a Brewery tour for ten courtesy of managing director Colin Wilde, who was at the Firework Extravaganza.

Friends of the club, Mark James and Julian Benton have also donated £50 vouchers for Hooters and the Staunton Arms respectively.

West Bridgford pubs, The Lady Bay and the Poppy and Pint have also promised prizes and we can today announce that the big draw will this year take place on Saturday 21st December straight after the Lincoln United home fixture.

Before the draw however, there is the small matter of the years final Dg event of the year with plenty of Christmas numbers in the mix and the date is Sunday 24th November from around 2.30pm, which is just days before “Sir Cliff as if” turns on the Carlton Town Clubhouse Christmas lights on Friday 29th November.

The club will be hoping for donations and plenty of ticket sales to give them a cushion ahead of the usual difficult cash flow month of January, when the club’s ground rent is due.

The Dj events have been the standout new fund raising idea of 2019 and it will hopefully all finish with a Festive Big Bang.
