GARTON GEARS UP FOR DJ COMEBACK FOR CLUB FUND RAISER!

Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton has promised earlier will continue to do his best to raise money for the club and has been putting in work to ensure the forthcoming event at the Dragon on Long Row in Nottingham will be a success.

Mick met with Josh Hodgson and landlady Aunit this evening at the venue to firm up details and Josh told him he was hopeful of being able to support him and Supporters Chief Alan Murphy at the event on Sunday 24th February from 2pm.

Garton has been speaking to friends to try and ensure some decent prizes for a fund raising draw and has secured a Brewery tour at Castle Rock, four tickets for an evening with Brian Roy at the Southbank on Friar Lane and signed John Robertson memorabilia from the Navigation Brewery.

Garton himself is donating a space in Msr Newsgroup’s Nottingham Forest box as his guest for the final game of the season when Forest take on Bolton Wanderers at the City Ground.

Carlton Manager Wayne Scott has secured a meal voucher at Amores in Gedling and other prizes will be secured prior to the event.

Garton himself who years ago sold his Dj equipment and record collection, yesterday met up with good friend Johnathon Noon who introduced him to a Vinyl record dealer who did the Chairman proud by sorting him out with some vintage tunes from the 70s and 80s.for his big Sunday afternoon set’s.

There is no charge to enter the event, but the club are hoping those attending will support the big draw to raise vital funds for the club and at the same time have a cracking afternoon.

While Garton’s set’s are guaranteed to feature plenty of 80’s music, Hodgson is expected to bring thing into the current century while Alan Murphy could take the audience anywhere!

In other news Carlton have announced their Senior Cup Quarter final at Stoke Lane against AFC Mansfield will take place on Wednesday 20th February 7.45pm.
