GEDLING WIN, MORE SEASON TICKETS SOLD AND FIXTURE CHANGES!

It has been an interesting few days at Carlton Town and now we can bring you a full news update.
1. Carlton defeated Gedling Miners Welfare 3-0 in their latest friendly at Plains Road with goals from Toby Moore, Niall Davey and Kyle Stovell to maintain the new management’s unbeaten run.
2. Three more season tickets have been sold since the Chairman’s Saturday announcement extending the early bird period to 3rd August taking the total to 24.
3. New Vice Chairman Barry North (pictured) and his beloved wife Jackie have stepped up to the plate again, sponsoring Tommy Brookbanks and Mark Harvey and season ticket holder and clubshop man Ken has sponsored Niall Davey as part of the kit support scheme meaning 7 out of 24 player and management Sponsorship voids have been filled.
4. Shepshed Dynamos have pulled out of next Tuesday’s friendly at Stoke Lane and the club are seeking new opponents.
5. This coming Saturday’s clash at Kimberley Miners Welfare will now kick off at 2pm.
6. Carlton will now welcome Belper United to Stoke Lane on Saturday 3rd August 1.30pm before their season starts away in the Fa cup at Barton Town Fc on Saturday 10th.
This will give one final chance for season tickets sales at the discounted price and the club will be hoping fans get behind Kit Support and the all new Tote which will be officially launched soon to commence on Saturday 10th August.
7. A big Thankyou to new season ticket holder Steve Mack for suggesting the Belper United game and to Ian White (Commitee man and club legend) for his decorating work at the ground during pre season at no cost to the club.
8. Finally, Chairman Mick Garton has told us that donations can be made to “The Nottingham society of Referees” at Gedling Crematorium and at the ground during Roy Garton’s wake.
Roy refereed in the local leagues and for the military in the 60’s and 70’s and always spoke fondly of his time in the middle.
