‘H’ SIGNING SESSION TO HELP THE MILLERS AS BROOKBANKS ORGANISES A SUMMER FUND RAISING TREAT !

There do not seem to be too many empty news days at Carlton Town these days and this weekend is no exception.

Sad news has reported on our Twitter feed, that Club Captain Tom Maddison is leaving the club, he contacted the management team to notify them of his intentions and then made a point of contacting the Chairman as well. It goes without saying that everyone wishes the penalty king all the very best for the future and he finished by lifting the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup.

Although disappointed at losing Maddo, joint manager Tommy Brookbanks has moved to reassure supporters there are new signings on the horizon and this website understands, he is actually quite excited about freshining things up and introducing some new faces into the squad next season.

With new challenges facing The Millers, Tommy has took it upon himself to organise a special summer fundraiser which will be a Saturday night Speakers evening, details will be announced shortly.

Talking of speakers events, one man who did help Carlton massively at their Christmas Luncheon was actor Nigel Boyle who played Detective Chief Inspector Ian Buckells in the biggest show on Tv last year, Line of Duty, Buckells was finally uncovered as the notorious H.

Nigel raised £500 for the club by auctioning off an afternoon out with himself and his beautiful wife Lainy and this weekend was back in Nottingham as a guest at Trent Bridge courtesy of Chairman Mick Garton, he met with Nottinghamshire’s Director of Cricket Mick Newell and signed some Line of Duty Memorabilia for the club to be auctioned off at a later date.

Finally a full length Carlton Town Tv special has gone out today with 1 hour 45 minutes of footage from the Millers Presentation Night, which features numerous interviews with players, supporters and Commitee members, pour yourself a large one and enjoy!
