HODGSON ANNOUNCES MORE GOOD NEWS AS THE FOOTBALL FOUNDATION STEP UP TO THE PLATE!

CarltonTowns Strategic Development Officer Dave Hodgson has more good news for supporters and the management and players alike with an extra £1,500 coming into the club during the lockdown to help with summer maintenance on the pitch and the 3G arena.

With Carlton also committed to providing a grass five a side pitch next season with training lights and further maintenance done on that area and the main pitch in the last two weeks, the timing of this latest grant could not have come at a better time.

The club have been getting quotes on repairs and a deep clean on their 3G pitch and improvements on the approach footpath and the money coming in will help the Millers not only pay Ground rent, water rates, League fees for next season and Insurance, but also help them ensure facilities are up to scratch when they are able to return to competitive football.

The 100 club will help maintain the pitch next season but the extra work required as run into a few thousand pounds and the club are grateful in particular to Dave Hodgson who has secured another vital pool of cash to help the club during these extremely difficult times.

Dave pictured with ‘Sir Cliff as if’ gave a statement on this latest help for the club !

“It doesn’t seem too many months ago when we were all concerned about the future of our football club. This was extremely frustrating considering the season we were having, not just in terms of results but also the fantastic standard of football the team were playing under Tommy and Mark”

“In the time I have been involved with the club what has always impressed me is the camaraderie amongst everyone involved at Carlton Town and everyone playing their part”

“The work the fans have recently completed on improving the clubhouse and ground and the “100 Club” initiative led by Alan Murphy play a significant part in the success of our club”

“As you are aware Mick and I have been actively trying to secure funds to ensure the future of this great football club and we have already secured a grant from Gedling Borough Council of £10,000 along with a grant from Sport England for £6789”

“I am now pleased to announce that another grant has been secured from the Football Foundations Pitch Preparation Fund for £1,500 which we will invest in remedial works for both the main pitch and the 3G pitch”

“It is encouraging, in these difficult times, that organisations such as The Football Foundation are able to support community clubs such as Carlton Town”

“There are a number of other grant applications in progress and I hope to have more good news over the coming weeks” concluded a delighted Hodgson.
