Carlton Town Fc will now play their fixture v Sherwood Colliery next Tuesday 19th July at Stoke Lane. Sherwoods pitch is not ready to host the game so it has been switched to the Bill Stokeld Stadium. Admission will be just £5 for all adults and £1 for under 16s.

The fixture v Gedling Miners Welfare on 30th July has been cancelled as the Mapperley Plains based club have been given an earlier start date to their season.

Joint manager Tommy Brookbanks told us that is unlikely that Carlton will pencil in another fixture that day and he is hoping that supporters will take tickets for the Dean Windass evening at Stoke Lane 7pm.

Tommy was instrumental in organising the event to help the club raise extra revenue for the challenges they face next season including a £7.000 increase in travelling fees. Tickets are only £30 which includes Hog Roast and fries and Boatsy can be contacted on 07907 064189 for supporters wanting tickets to support this cracking event.

Another event that faces a date move is the Clubs annual Golf day and this will now be held on Friday 23rd September at Oakmere park.  Marstons Brewery have kindly sponsored the event and a team of four to take part is £180 again and the day includes a Bacon cob and Coffee on arrival and a 2 course meal afterwards. Club President Roger Smith can be contacted on 07836 387009 to book a four ball for this ever popular event.
