IMPRESSIVE ACADEMY A BOOST TO BROOKBANKS AND HARVEY!

Carlton Town completed their Academy season last week and finished with 8 wins, 4 draws and 6 defeats from their 18 games and new management duo Tommy Brookbanks and Mark Harvey are looking forward to meeting with Academy Manager Alex Trukan and getting upbeat thoughts on the young talent at the club.
Brookbanks has been on a short break arranged before his whirlwind appointment at Carlton and he and Harvey are set to get their teeth into things this week with pre season friendlies, new signings and getting updates on the clubs youngsters all on the agenda for the new management duo.
Brookbanks has a fine record of promoting youth in his former spell at Stoke Lane and the list of young players he promoted to the first team is too long to print out on this website.
Brookbanks was well supported by the likes of Ian Spencer, Kev Randall, Darryl Claypole and Stuart Scott to name but 4 and with Claypole and we now understand Scott returning to the Millers, the future indeed looks bright and with Brookbanks back in the country, he and Harvey can now can get down to serious business as they attempt to rebuild the squad and produce a team that compete in the top half of the table.
Brookbanks and Harvey are well aware there is no magic money tree, but both believe their ability to get the best out of and develop young players will hold them in good stead going forward.
This website understands they will also want some experience in the squad, but their ability to promote and encourage the clubs youngsters will also prove key to the clubs future fortunes and is one of the reasons why the appointment was an easy one for the clubs Executive Commitee.
The club have been contacted by a number of supporters who are delighted with the appointments and the club will announce season ticket prices in the coming days after the all important get together at the Dragon this coming Sunday.
It promises to be a special afternoon indeed with Brookbanks in attendance, the Chairman and Supporters Club Chief on the decks and money being raised going towards the crucial improvement of the pitch, because Brookbanks and Harvey made that their first requirement when coming to the club, they want to play their brand of football which they say supporters will find easy on the eye and hopefully put a smile on the face of Carlton Town Supporters 😀
