IMPRESSIVE DAVIE LEADS THE MILLERS TO VICTORY AT SHEFFIELD FC

Club Captain Niall Davie scored a fine first goal and then supplied a brilliant assist for Alex Howes who added a well taken second to cap a man of the match performance in Dronfield at the home of Sheffield Fc.

The supporters favourite away trip of the year saw a decent following of around 50 fans get on the beer early, well many of them anyway and they were the ones making the noise along with a decent little group of Mini Millers.

A scrappy first half had seen the home side go down to ten men with two reckless challenges from Harry Mitchell meaning he received two yellow cards in fairy quick succession and was sent off.

The Millers struggled to break down Sheffield and to be fair in the first half, Sheffield had several bright moments themselves and Felix was the busier of the two keepers.

Patience was the key component for the Millers and eventually they got their breakthrough in the 74th minute and then a second in the 82nd minute to put the game to bed.

Carlton remain in 6th position with most of the teams around them winning as well, but as they headed off into Sheffield for a their Christmas night out, they could reflect on a job well done and 3 more points.

Chairman Mick Garton was on Carlton Town Tv duty with newly appointed camera man Charlie Clarke making his filming debut for the station and Mick spoke to coach Jonno Bell and recently back from injury Greg Tempest outside the Coach and Horses immediately after the game.
