IMPROVEMENT FROM MILLERS BUT MORPETH TAKE THE POINTS!

Dean Wykes reported on a much improved performance from Carlton Town, particularly defensively as a team against top of the table Morpeth, but sadly it was not to enough to secure any points and the home side went down 1-0 to a Joseph Walton volley on the stroke of half time.

Wkyes reported a game of few clear cut chances with Morpeth showing their qualities without ever really taking total control of the game, but Carlton though much improved, had few chances themselves and the defeat leaves them 19th in the table with a tough away trip to Frickley next on the horizon on Saturday 6th April.

Carlton then face Basford United in the Senior Cup Final at Mansfield Town on Tuesday 9th April before a home game v Stocksbridge on Saturday 13th April and a rearranged trip to Loughborough Dynamo on Tuesday 16th April before they travel again to Brighouse on Saturday 20th April.
