IT’S AN ELVIS PRESLEY AND LEIGH WOOD WEEKEND AT STOKE LANE!

One big weekend and two big guests as Millers Vice Chairman Barry North prepares for his Elvis / sixties night on Friday 17th September, a few tickets remain and admission is available on the door at just £7, Barry and Jackie would welcome any last minute support for the evening.

The Marquee cover was back in place today thanks to Boatsy and Karl Smith and this website understands that Saturday’s very special guest, Boxing Champion of the World Leigh Wood will be doing a Q and A with Milers Chairman Mick Garton at around 2.15pm under the Boatsy sponsored canvass, it will be interesting for example what he makes of going’s on at his beloved Nottingham Forest.

The Millers are planning extra bar capacity with a lager and Cider can bar on the patio for what should be their biggest attendance of the season given their visitors excellent fan base and the growing Millers fan base and the fact the two teams are at the right end of the table.

In other news , Jacob Sturgess as left the club in a bid to secure regular first team football, he as impressed when called upon this season, but chances have been restricted due to the excellent performances of others, the club genuinely wish him well, a view made strongly to us from two of the club’s coaching staff today Darryl Thomas and Martin Ball who were at the ground ahead of first team training.

Joint manager Tommy Brookbanks has also given a squad update this evening via our twitter feed which can be accessed through our home page on this website.

The club are delighted to announce that Carlton Town Tv have now released the video from the Charity match the other week, when a Carlton Town team took on Total Reclaims for Florentina  when an incredible £2,800 was raised.

Finally the club ask that those who have joined the relaunched 150 club in the past two weeks remember to set up their £10 monthly direct debit from this months September, the draw is after the Ilkeston clash, probably under the marquee.
