IT’S MANSFIELD UNDER 23S IN THE FINAL AND CLUB HOPES FOR SUPPORT FOR UKRAINE CHARITY DAY!

Carlton Town now know they will be playing Mansfield Town Under 23s in the Final of the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup at Basford United next Wednesday 4th May 7.45pm.

Millers Joint Manager Tommy Brookbanks was at the game and told us he was impressed with Mansfield and believes Carlton will have to bring their A game if they are to bring the trophy back to Stoke Lane.

“Mansfield were very good, hence the 7-1 score line, but we will be prepared and give it our best shot” said Brookbanks

Brookbanks has also been told by the Notts Fa that the game will be all ticket and as soon as secretary Trevor Wells has the link, we will let supporters know what it is.

Meanwhile Millers Chairman Mick Garton is hoping Supporters will come to Stoke Lane on Sunday afternoon and support the fixture between Trident Fc and Greyfriars.

“There is lots more than just the football” Garton told us

“Taz and his team have put a lot of work into this, there is a cake stall, Ukraine Borscht soup, Face Painting, Glitter Art, Sports Inflatables and a raffle with some cracking Prizes”

“Taz tells me that there is £100 of Love to Shop Vouchers, an Amazon Fire Tablet, a signed Nottingham Forest Football, Dimas Vodka, a Pudding Pantry Voucher and Trent Instruments have kindly donated Afternoon Tea on a trip on the Great Central Railway at Loughborough”

“Tickets for the raffle will be £1 each or £4 a strip and the game kicks off at 1pm with donations on the gate for admission, the raffle draw will be approximately 4pm and after a pint or two at Stoke Lane, the event continues into the evening from 5pm onwards at the Greyfriars which includes live acts, an auction which my Company Msr Newsgroup have donated to and a second raffle for items sourced by the regulars and managers there, which is brilliant ”

“I understand the money raised at the two venues will be split 50/50 between “Aid for Ukraine” and “Comeback Alive” and I would urge anyone who can come down and support to please do so, this is such an important cause and anything we can all do to ease the horrendous suffering means so much” said the Carlton Town Chairman.

Here is the link once again for the Greyfriars side of the event and there are some brilliant auction prizes .
