Carlton Town have had a busy news day with the biggest news of all, the resigning of Niall Davey who has extended his contract until the end of next season.

Niall is pictured with Chairman Mick Garton and Secretary Trevor Wells who finalised the paperwork with Niall at Stoke Lane.

Carlton Town Joint manager Tommy Brookbanks broke the news to us today and told us “Niall may be injured at the moment, but he is still a big part of our plans going forward, he has come on in Leaps and bounds this season, his work rate is top draw, add to that his undoubted talent and we have a player on our hands and we are delighted he wants to be part of things next season, we are looking forward to him making a full recovery and being back in the side next season” confirmed Brookbanks.

Carlton can also reveal that this years Nottinghamshire Senior Cup Final is set to take place at Basford United on Wednesday 4th May, although The Millers will not know until next week who they are playing in that final, when Newark Flowserve meet Mansfield Town in the other Semi Final, after Carlton defeated Nottingham Forest under 23s at Stoke Lane last week.

Carlton can also comfirm that their own end of season presentation will follow on Friday 6th May in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar.
